Show Notes

Eschewing the expected and traditional life path, Zeeshan Parvez enlisted in the Marines after high school, became part of an elite special forces unit, excelled in extreme survival training, and became a wingsuit BASE jumper and instructor.  This modern-day Renaissance man takes a break from grad school, his nonprofit (Veterans in STEM), and jumping off mountains to spend a little time in the studio with Doc to talk about one of the world's most extreme sports:  wingsuit BASE jumping.  Along the way, they delve into the finer points of grit, survival school, the evolutionary purpose of adrenaline, whether or not to fix the toilet paper direction at a friend's house, and the finer points of getting off the mountain in a hurry.
